• The Service of Ordination for Bishop Elect Ali Tote as Bishop of the Saskatchewan Synod will be at Zion Lutheran Church at 2PM Saturday Oct. 12 with a reception to follow featuring African and Canadian dishes. The service will also be live-streamed, and the link is below:

• Offering taken in recognition of this event, both in person and sent to the Synod office, will go towards Child, Youth, and Young Adult Ministry within the Synod.

• Remember to sign up on the sheet in the narthex if attending the JOY Oktoberfest Luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 17th at 12 noon.

• Coffee after service will now be on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, except on long weekends, to help with the volunteer shortage.

• Just a reminder that Oct. 16th is World Food Day. Please remember those who do not have access to enough food as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day.

EXPERIENCING GOSPEL, AN ELCIC CROSS CANADA BIBLE STUDY is set to help session participants dig deeper into Gordon Jensen's discovery of Luther's highlighted words and phrases in the 1534 Bible - a bible that Luther and colleagues created in Wittenberg. Every session starting on October 8 until October 29 is an hour-long Bible Study beginning at 3 PM (EST). If you or someone you know is interested and eager to know what Scripture passages Luther most wanted to emphasize during the Protestant Reformation, then this Bible Study event is for you!
